Just Me

All this has known, is external

Just Me

“As there is nothing that
I truly call as mine, neither
this Body not Anybody, neither
this World nor the Other”

– Sadhguru

All this has known, is external
All this has experienced, is through these five senses
All this has held dear and despised, is through experiences.

The known has been the family, the friends and the foes
The known has been this joy, this misery and boredom
The known and the knower have always been outward.

The inward could never know, for it has never known or experienced
Only this body and mind have ever known and experienced
Since what they experience too is external
Beyond that, just nothingness.

All these experiences, since awareness
All these moments have just been a dialogue between two
One still and the other always moving.

An unmoving tale of unending stories
An unstoppable barrage of moments, altogether but after each other
All always, now and ever.

An infinite play, centred around the knower
Even the knower is part of the play

Then where is me?
Is there anybody else?

Why even have the concept?
Oh I forget that’s part of the play

Just you and me then, oh play?
Or just me?
